Quickoffice with Google Drive

Google announced to make Quickoffice, an Android and iOS app for working with Microsoft Office documents, free for everyone. Google also announced a free extra 10GB of Google drive space to anyone who sign in to Quickoffice using Google account by September 26 (extra free space for 2 years). This extra free space will reflect in the coming weeks in your Google drive account.

"Everyone likes free stuff, which is why starting today we’re making Quickoffice available for free, for everyone. With Quickoffice, you can edit Microsoft® Office documents across your devices, giving you the freedom to work with anyone no matter what hardware or software they’re using. Quickoffice also integrates seamlessly with Google Drive storage so you can safely access your files from anywhere…………..
……………..While we’re on the topic of free stuff, if you sign in to your Google Account from the new Quickoffice app for Android or iOS by September 26, 2013, an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage will be added to your account for two years (look for it in the next few weeks)."

Quickoffice was acquired by Google in June 2012. Quickoffice was also available preinstalled on some of the older Samsung Android Smart Phones as a free stock app. Although to enjoy this new free quickoffice with 10GB benefits, first you need to download the app from Android Play Store or Apple App Store. If you already have Quickoffice on your device, it's better to uninstall that and install the new one.
