Few moths ago on Dec 6, 2012 Google in its shocking announcement stopped offering free version of Google Apps (with 10 free users). That NEWS broke the heart of millions of users who missed signing up for Apps before 6th Dec 2012.
Good NEWS for webmasters in India, Google recently decreased cost of Google apps in India in their GoogleIndia blog announcement. It says,
"To make it even easier for Indian SMBs to work in the cloud, we’re now making Google Apps for Business more affordable. New and existing customers based in India will now pay INR 150 per user per month if they’re on the Flexible Plan and INR 1500 per user per year on the Annual Plan."
With Google Apps, each user gets a 25 GB Gmail mailbox, Google Drive with 5 GB of storage, unlimited email aliases (nicknames) and a host of other Google products.

Google Apps (a single user Google Apps account) can still be registered for Free via Google App Engine.
